Damsels and Dragons

I find dragonflies and damselflies fascinating. They live much of their lives as nymphs living under water, before emerging and being transformed into brightly coloured winged predators.

Most of these images were captured in Risley Moss, an excellent location for dragonfly spotting.

Some of the photos were taken of a newly emerged dragonfly.
